Teen in custody after fatal Fremont shooting
FREMONT, Ohio (WNWO/AP) —
**UPDATE The family says the two boys were cousins and that they were playing moments before the shooting happened.
Toledo, Ohio (WNWO)--Police say a 14-year-old boy was shot to death in Fremont and a second 14-year-old boy is in custody, charged with the slaying.
The shooting happened on Sunday afternoon in the 300 block on Jackson Street.
Family members say the victim was Jaylan Brock.
Fremont police say the boy who was shot died on the way to the hospital.
The alleged shooter is in custody is at the Sandusky county Juvenile Detention Center.
Police say the suspect is charged with involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, obstructing official business and burglary.
Police are calling the shooting an isolated incident with no continuing threats.
