Toledo hospital recognized for energy conservation
Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center is recognized with Melvin Creeley Sustainability Award.
The award notes the facility's efforts in energy conservation during the recent Ohio Hospital Association’s annual meeting.
St. Vincent was one of 17 Ohio hospitals to receive the award for 2018.
Hospitals were evaluated on waste reduction, energy efficiency and recycling initiatives. Other considerations included activities to help preserve the health of the planet for future generations.
Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center has demonstrated its devotion to sustainability on a hospital-wide scale through its green initiative program, recycling strategies and energy conservation.
Named after O-H-A environmental leadership council chairperson, Melvin Creeley, the award recognizes qualifying hospitals and health care systems which demonstrate a commitment to environmental practices.
Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima also received the recognition.
