Toledo Police Department promotes 11 members

11 Toledo Police Department members were promoted on Monday afternoon (WNWO).

11 members of the Toledo Police Department got new titles Monday, as part of their promotions ceremony.

Captain David Mueller became Deputy Chief.

Lieutenant Edward Bombrys and Thomas Morelli moved up to Captain.

Sergeant Joseph Trudeau, Kellie Lenhardt and Robert Furr became Lieutenants.

Officer Michael Kurjan, Aaron James, Gabe Greenwalt, Adam Fish and Detective Jim Haney were all promoted to Sergeant.

TPD Chief George Kral congratulated the officers on their new positions.

"It's all about leadership, and truly being there for those people who report to you. If you show your officers and your command officers you truly care, they will work hard for you."

Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz was unable to attend the ceremony, but Deputy Chief of Staff Karen Poore gave remarks in his place.
