Toledo Restuarant offers free lunch to federal employees impacted by shutdown
Toledo, Ohio (WNWO)-- A local restaurant is supporting those workers too.
Ya Halla restuarant in West Toledo began offering a free lunch entree this week.
It's for the federal government employees not being paid due to the shutdown.
The restaurant wants to highlight the men and women who work so hard.
NBC 24 caught up with some customers who came to the restaurant to support.
"People who are not going to get paid today that's going to be real tough," said said Bruce way, Toledo Resident. He came to the Restaurant Friday to support. "People have families and mortgages and the bills haven’t stopped just because the paychecks have."
To take advantage of the offer, the resturant says come in with an empty belly and a government ID.
