Toledo Symphony begins their 75th year
75 years ago, the Toledo Symphony began their journey.
They opened up their new year with a performance called, "Friends of Music," which was the organization's original name.
Their first performance was in 1943 and the season was just 3 performances.
The symphony says it has grown tremendously and is proud to travel back in time for one night.
"Since then, in 75 years, we've transformed to one of the largest, most successful regional orchestras in the country. We went from a small team of strings players to 80 musicians if we need them," said CEO and President Zak Vassar.
Toledo Symphony's next stop will be in Downtown Toledo for next weekend's Momentum Festival.
