Toledo Zoo helps animals brave chilly conditions
Animals at the Toledo Zoo are certainly feeling the chill during this cold snap.
Zoo staff says they're taking precautions to make sure the animals are as comfortable as possible while on exhibit.
The zoo's curator of mammals says the animals are given as many comforts as possible- including heated rocks and water bowls, extra bedding and access to heated barns and buildings.
The zoo says even with all of that, the cold can still be rough for elephants and other 'Safari' animals.
The Zoo is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
