Two homes crushed, one roof left damaged after tree falls in South Toledo

Three houses are damaged after a tree fell in south Toledo (NBC24/Toi Creel).

Toledo, Ohio (WNWO)-- Three home are damaged after a tree fell in south Toledo.

Neighbors say It happened around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday On Gilbert street near Glendale Avenue and Detroit Avenue.

The homeowner of property with the actual tree ,Gary Hall, says the entire back part of his house was taken out including bedrooms. Hall said his wife and handicap daughter were inside the home when it happened.

The tree crashed through the roof and into the the upstairs bedroom of the house next door.

The house to the right of it had minor damage to the roof.

Hall says he does have homeowners insurance. He says his agency sent out a tree service company to clean up the tree and put tarp on the homes. The insurance company did put him up in a hotel, but Hall told NBC 24 he wanted to be home and slept in his living room the night following the incident.

People were inside all three homes when it happened. No one was hurt. Hall's cars were also not damaged.

There's currently no estimate on the cost of the damages.
