Woman facing animal cruelty charges appears in Lenawee County District Court

More than 230 animals were seized from the property in Rome Township (WNWO).

A Southeast Michigan dog breeder is starting to give up her animals.

53-year-old Sharon Evans faces animal cruelty charges. She's on trial in Lenawee County.

Officers took more than 230 animals from her property in Rome Township, including dogs, horses, peacocks, and a donkey.

She's back in court on Friday, and could face up to four years in jail.
