Kynard advances to high jump finals of Rio Olympics
A Toledo native jumped high enough during the qualifying round of the 2016 Olympics to solidify his spot in the finals.
Erik Kynard, Jr. will compete against the best high jumpers in the world Tuesday evening after successfully jumping 2.29 meters during qualifying on Sunday.
Kynard won the silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games and is looking to best that fete with gold.
