Thousands of Packers fans petition to convince their team to sign Colin Kaepernick

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- Over 7,000 fans have signed a petition on asking for the Green Bay Packers to sign Colin Kaepernick.

The sudden call to action comes after starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury. Rodgers fell on his throwing shoulder Sunday against the Vikings.

The Packers would go on to lose the divisional game and it was discovered that Rodgers has a broken collarbone and could be out for the season.

Tracey Corder, the person who started the petition, touted the fact that Kaepernick was born in Milwaukee, Wis. The petition was quickly able to garner 50 supporters within 50 minutes on the day it started.

Kaepernick is currently in the process of suing all 32 NFL owners accusing them of collusion. Since the 2016 season, Kaepernick has not been able to sign with any NFL teams.
