Born and raised just outside of Chicago, Karaline is thrilled to return to the midwest. She joined the NBC 24 team in January 2018 as a multimedia journalist and forecaster. Before coming to Toledo, Karaline worked at a station in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was a multimedia journalist and weekend forecaster, covering everything from breaking news to weather and community events.
Karaline was 10 years old when she first told her parents she wanted to be the person on the news and it stuck! She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in broadcast journalism, then went on to pursue a meteorology degree from Mississippi State University. She’s excited for the snowy winters and beautiful summers on the Great Lakes.
Some of Karaline’s hobbies include watching sports (Cubs & Blackhawks are her favorite teams), traveling, and attempting to cook! Karaline can’t wait to explore the Glass City. Feel free to reach out with a story idea or just to say hi. Karaline would love to hear from you.
