Get to know filmmakers, actors and local opportunities at FilmToledo Spring Mixer

Following up on the success of its inaugural fundraiser and numerous acting workshops, FilmToledo will be back with another mixer next week at Toledo Spirits to talk about project possibilities with producers from near and far.

There will also be more workshops available soon for those looking to hone their skills and exchange ideas, as well as further networking:

• April 17: Spring Mixer (6 p.m. at 1301 N. Summit St.)
• April 20: Workshop Series — The Business of Film Acting (6 p.m. at 325 N. Michigan St.)
• May 18: Workshop Series — The Business of Screenwriting (6 p.m. at 325 N. Michigan St.)
• Aug. 20: 9th Annual CommUNITY Film Fest (2 p.m. at 601 Conant St. in Maumee)
